I have spring fever. Winter is slipping away ever so slowly. The air is getting warmer and the trees and flowers are budding. The boys of summer have started their run. Baseball has begun! My son Caleb is a senior. Yes, it's his last year to roam the outfield chasing down fly balls to the smell of fresh cut grass. One last time to hit the ball and touch 'em all, in high school at least. Caleb has had the amazing opportunity to chase his dream around the bases playing with the Greater Gwinnett Christian Barons. No finer baseball organization have we had the pleasure of being a part of than this Christian based, competitive high school level program. As we look forward to another great season with the Barons, we remember this little boy with a sparkle in his eye as he plays and still fast as lighting stealing a base. He's not a little boy anymore. Is it a bittersweet season? Yes, but we wouldn't have missed it for the world. Who knows, maybe there's a few more seasons of college ball after this one. We'll find out together, and we'll always look forward to the start of spring training, the sound of ball against a bat, and the umpire's call of "safe" with a stolen base. Oh how we are blessed. We are blessed with you, Cubby.
